Can I print out the wheelchair logo for my own use?
Yes. However, I would appreciate it that if you print out the logo for your own use (bass drum decal, t-shirt, tattoo etc..) that you email me first and let me know about it. If merchandise is offered in the future, your plan for the logo may not be something that I would allow (ie. if I already sell t-shirts and you want to make your own etc..). Other than that, I'm just curious to hear how someone might be using the logo to promote the site.

Can I add a link to Handidrummed.com on my website?
Sure. I'd love for you to add Handidrummed.com to your website. Again, I only ask that you please email me first and let me know that you're going to do so. Also, I ask that you NOT link directly to any images on the site (the banner etc..) if you want to use an image for a link. This uses up website bandwidth and it can get expensive. Instead, right-click your mouse over the image, choose "Save Image" or "Save As" and save the image to your computer, then you can use it.

You can promote Handidrummed.com any way you would like: On your bass drum, t-shirt, on your car, word of mouth..anything you can think of! If you do decide to promote the site in some way, email me and let me know about it so I know that you're helping to spread the word! :)

I'm having trouble viewing the media files on the site. What do I do?
First, make sure that you have the most current audio or video program installed on your computer. Below are some links to download the appropriate programs.
To play the WMV videos, download Media Player:

To play the MP3 audio, download Winamp:
For: Windows Only
Finally, make sure you right-click on the file link and choose "Save Target As" or "Save As" and save the file to your computer instead of clicking on the file and streaming it to your computer.

What kind of disability do I have to have in order to have a profile on the site or be listed on the drummer index??
Handidrummed.com was created for ANYONE who faces a disability, regardless of how "minor" or "severe" it may be. Whether you have recently become disabled, were born with a disability, and have anything from a slight impairment, to a more severe disability, you're welcome. As long as what you are faced with is either a permanent condition, or something that you have to overcome long-term, you can be included.

How much content does a profile have to include?
The minimum amount of content that I'd like to have in a profile page is atleast: A bio including your name, birthdate, what disability you have, styles you play and influences, and your drumming history. Also I would like atleast a few pictures of yourself playing, a drumset diagram (which I'll create for you), and contact information.

Do I have to have video or audio on my profile?
Nope! While I would obviously love it if visitors to the site could hear and see you play, its understandable that some people might not have access to video or audio equipment.

Sure! If you have pictures that you need scanned, or videos and/or audio that need transferred to online format, I can do it for you! Send me an email through the Contact page and I'll send information on where to mail them. Don't worry, if you need them back, just say so and I'll send all materials back when I'm done.

How many video/audio files can I have on my profile?
Because I expect this site to grow and I'd always like to keep the site free, I need to try and conserve bandwith. In order to do this, I need to set a limit as to how many media files (which suck up bandwidth like a hoover) are on each profile page. Each profile will be allowed around 8MB for media, which works out to around 1 or 2 videos and 3 or 4 MP3's.

Can I submit something even if I don't have a disability?
Sure! Anyone who wants to submit an article, product or link that they think might be useful is more than welcome to let us know about it, whether they themselves are disabled or not.

I saw an article online I thought would be useful. Can I submit it?
Because I want the content of Handidrummed.com to be as original as possible, I ask that you only submit articles that are either:
1) Written BY you, even if you've used them on another site. As long as you're the author of the article, you can submit it.
or
2) Written specifically FOR Handidrummed.com.
If there is an article that you found online or elsewhere that you just really think should be added to this site, PLEASE, contact the author first, and tell them about this site. Then it will be up to THEM to contact me and submit the article. This way, I only have articles on the site that are there as a result of being submitted specifically for use on the site.
